Mark, an average irresponsible high school student, tries to get by and find purpose in a humdrum life of scrolling, cramming, and traffic. He meets friends, both old and new, and embarks upon a seemingly never-ending trouble, until nothing is ever the same again. Until Then is a contemporary adventure game inspired by the Philippines, its lifestyle, and culture. Featuring a smartphone where mechanics of modern living come into play, chat with your classmates and explore the depths of social networks, where your replies and interactions may pose consequences.

No development budget, funding round, government grant or crowdfunding campaign has ever been disclosed — checked the official site, polychromagames.com, the Rappler developer Q&A, the GameSpot feature, both PlayStation Blog articles and publisher Maximum Entertainment's investor materials. The publisher (Modus Games, which rebranded to Maximum Entertainment mid-campaign) funded the game but publishes no game-level financials. No official copies-sold statement exists either. Hard figures: base game $19.99 with 18,484 Steam reviews at 97% positive (Overwhelmingly Positive); the paid Afterimages DLC is $4.99 with 892 reviews; Metacritic 76 on PC and 84 on Switch. Estimated Steam gross would be roughly $2M-$4M (100k-200k SteamSpy-estimated owners × the $19.99 list price) — built on a third-party owner estimate and ignoring discounts, refunds and Valve's ~30% cut, so treat it as an upper bound. Notably the all-time Steam concurrent peak of 1,516 came in June 2026 with the Afterimages DLC, two years after launch, not at release.
