Microsoft and Mojang never published unit sales or revenue for Minecraft Legends. Press reporting put it at roughly three million players in its first few weeks, after which Steam concurrents fell by about 99% — from over 5,000 at release to fewer than 50. Mojang announced on 10 January 2024, nine months after launch, that no further content would be produced, making it the fastest-discontinued Minecraft spin-off. Backend servers stayed online: PvP, co-op and all nine Lost Legends remain playable.
