Halloween: The Game

It is Halloween night, 1978. The families of Haddonfield are getting ready for the holiday, unaware that evil has come home. Halloween: The Game is an asymmetrical horror sandbox from IllFonic in which one player becomes Michael Myers and up to four others play the Heroes of Haddonfield, trying to keep the town alive until morning.

As The Shape, you put on the mask and stalk the neighborhood with single-minded obsession, using shadows, stealth and a set of unsettling abilities to reach your victims. Haddonfield does not go quietly: frightened residents phone the police and will fight back when cornered, so staying unseen matters. A standalone single-player story, "The Night He Came Home", retells the events of the original film from Michael's point of view for the first time.

As a Hero, your job is to warn the residents, get them to safety and survive the night. Matches are 1v4 and never play out the same way twice. You scavenge household objects and weapons, talk townsfolk into helping, and call the police to trigger increasingly heavy neighborhood patrols. You can also direct and arm NPCs so they can distract, outsmart or briefly overpower Michael, buying the time you need to escape.

Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game pairs reactive gameplay systems and believable NPCs with film-grade lighting and a faithfully recreated late-1970s Haddonfield.
